Artist Statement:

Stacey Street’s paintings and sculptures reflect her upbeat and magical view of the world. Inspired by the landscapes of Arkansas, the energy of Chicago, and the mountains of Colorado, she captures subjects from moths to cityscapes with vibrant color and optimism. Her work celebrates everyday life with a joyful, whimsical spirit. She often draws on memories of exploring nature as a child, layering those impressions with the rhythms of city life. Her holiday ornaments carry the same sense of wonder, blending natural motifs with festive design. Across all mediums, Street invites viewers to share in a perspective that is playful, heartfelt, and deeply rooted in her lived experience.
