Between Stops, 10 x 8 in, Serigraph Monotype

This painting captures a quiet, in-between moment—when time slows on the way from one place to another. The figure, absorbed in his phone, is both here and elsewhere, suspended in transit. I was interested in how light falls across his hoodie and boots, grounding him in the everyday, while the background blurs into suggestion, like memory or noise. It’s a portrait of pause, of waiting, and of the small spaces in city life where we drift inward.
